Occupli now offers this IOSH PSDP on both a private and public basis. This is a two day course. For those who are involved in the Project Supervisor Design Process (PSDP) process. These include designers, specifiers. As well as anyone who needs to become educated on the role/function of the PSDP.  In addition, there are several topics covered in the IOSH PSDP Course. These include Construction Regulations legislation, duties of the PSDP. As well as Designer Responsibilities, the General Principles of Prevention, etc.

Course Outline

This is a two day course. For those who will be involved at the Project Supervisor Design Process (PSDP). Similarly, it’s intended for anyone who needs to get an idea of the role and its function.

Topics covered include legislation, duties of the PSDP and the General Principles of Prevention.

Course Objectives

On completion of this course, you will understand:

  • Legal aspects relation to PSDP (Safety Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005, and the Safety Health and Welfare at Work (Construction) Regulations 2013
  • Duties of PSDP
  • Principles of prevention
  • Life cycle of PSDP
Target Audience

This course is suitable for all personnel who have a good knowledge of health and safety and are currently involved in the coordination of construction design activities (architects, chartered surveyors, consulting engineers, consultants acting in the role of PSDP).

Please note, completing this training course in itself, does not deem a person competent to fulfil the role of PSDP. To be competent to fulfil the role of PSDP, requires appropriate training, knowledge, and experience in construction/construction design activities.

If you feel that it is beneficial to gain knowledge and  develop your competency in construction Health and Safety prior to or alternatively to participating in the IOSH PSDP course, we recommend the IOSH Safety, Health and Environment for Construction Site Managers.

Attendees must be a minimum of 18 years old.
