Course Objectives
Upon successful completion of this comprehensive first aid response course, participants will have developed and demonstrated proficiency in several key areas of first aid. These are essential skills for effectively responding to various medical emergencies, both in the workplace and other environments. The course is designed to equip learners with the knowledge and confidence to handle such situations promptly and competently.
- Mastery in First Aid Response Skills: Participants will gain hands-on experience and develop a skillset that is crucial for delivering an effective first aid response. This includes learning how to assess an emergency situation, applying basic life support techniques, and using first aid equipment correctly. The course offers practical training to ensure that participants are comfortable and efficient in executing these skills.
- Assistance in Medical Emergencies: Trainees will learn how to provide immediate and effective assistance to individuals suffering from a variety of medical emergencies. This encompasses dealing with life-threatening conditions such as heart attacks, strokes, and severe allergic reactions, as well as managing less critical situations like minor injuries and illnesses.
- Preparation for the Arrival of Emergency Services: A vital part of first aid is to provide initial care and stabilize the patient until professional medical help arrives. Participants will be trained to maintain control of the situation, provide essential care, and minimize the risk of further harm. They will also learn how to communicate effectively with emergency services to ensure a seamless handover.
- First Aid Application in Various Settings: The course emphasizes the importance of being prepared to provide first aid in different environments. Special focus is given to workplace scenarios, where specific risks and legal obligations need to be considered. Participants will understand how to tailor their response according to the nature of the environment, whether it’s an office, a construction site, or a public space.
By the end of this programme, participants will be equipped not only with the technical skills necessary for first aid but also with the confidence and presence of mind to act decisively and effectively in emergency situations.

The course was very thorough, lots of topics covered, learnt a lot in the 3 days. Lots of practical work, which was great. Only complaint was the building works going on outside the door, the loud banging and drilling made it hard to hear the instructor and videos at times.

The course was very, very good. Eamonn was confident in his knowledge of First aid and delivered the training very well and very concisely. May I also mention that the facilities were excellent, and having lunch included and delivered wasa big plus. Thank you to all of the staff who were very helpful. I am highly recommending Chris Mee Group highly to our Training Coordinator.
