NEBOSH Occupational Health and Safety Certificate
The NEBOSH Certificate is a widely used safety qualification internationally. This certificate is used by hundreds of safety professionals to enhance their CVs. It is also used by employers who need to show that their managers, safety officers and supervisors are both qualified and competent in Safety Management. This certificate fulfils both of these requirements.

Course Overview
This NEBOSH Occupational Health and Safety qualification provides you with a level of competency in your role to ensure that work is carried out in the safest way possible. The course also provides you with a general overview of how to identify hazards and risks in the workplace. The course syllabus covers International legal frameworks and codes of practice. Successful completion of the Certificate will also allow you gain access to a NEBOSH International Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety.

Participants: Up to 15 participants
Assessment: The assessment process for participants consists of an examination (2 papers; IGC1 and GC2), Participants must achieve the pass standard in both examination papers and in the practical assessment to be awarded the International General Certificate.

Course Contents
The NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC) covers the principles relating to health and safety, identification and control of workplace hazards and the practical application of this knowledge. The IGC syllabus takes a risk management approach based on best practice and international standards. The International General Certificate syllabus is divided into three units, each of which is assessed separately:
Management of international health and safety (IGC1)
- Foundations in Health and Safety
- Health and Safety Management Systems – Plan
- Health and Safety Management Systems – Do
- Health and Safety Management Systems – Check
- Health and Safety Management Systems – Act
Control of international workplace hazards (GC2)
- Workplace hazards and risk control
- Transport hazards and risk control
- Musculoskeletal hazards and risk control
- Work equipment hazards and risk control
- Electrical safety
- Chemical and biological health hazards and risk control
- Physical and psychological health hazards and risk control
International health and safety practical application (GC3)
This is a practical health and safety assessment of a workplace. Delegates must achieve the pass standard in in the practical assessment to be awarded the International General Certificate.
